John Confer

John Confer is the proud owner of FIELD OPS, based in Hershey, PA, where he channels his lifelong passion for athletics and leadership into providing top-tier services and opportunities in the sports community. A Marine Corps veteran, John served from 1991 to 1999 as a Fire Direction Control man in Field Artillery, earning an Honorable Discharge as a Sergeant. With 26 years of experience in public education, he has held roles as a Special Education teacher, Athletic Director, and Assistant Secondary Principal, honing his skills in mentorship, organization, and community engagement. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Corrections Officer, further strengthening his discipline and resilience.
John is excited to leverage his extensive experience, abilities, and athletic network through FIELD OPS to make a lasting impact in the sports world. Married for 30 years to Lisa, who works at the Lebanon Veterans Administration Medical Center, John is also a dedicated family man. He and Lisa have two children: Audrey (21), who is set to graduate college and begin law school in fall 2025, and Jamie (19), who is currently playing junior ice hockey in Charlotte, NC. Through FIELD OPS, John continues to serve his community and stay deeply connected to the athletic realm he loves.

Brian C. Powers and Jeremy Bounds are the co-owners of FIELD OPS of Pensacola, a veteran-led company delivering premier field marking services, court resurfacing, repair, and precision athletic field striping to sports facilities, schools, and municipalities throughout the Pensacola area. Together, they bring 62 combined years of honorable service in the U.S. Army to their business, infusing it with military-honed discipline, expertise, and a commitment to excellence.

Powers, with 34 years in the U.S. Army, drives FIELD OPS with leadership forged as a team leader, instructor, drill sergeant, senior NCO advisor, and senior communications NCO for a one-star general command. His attention to detail and dedication to quality ensure every project—from resurfacing courts to striping athletic fields with durable, high-visibility lines—enhances safety and gameplay with precision and professionalism.
Jeremy Bounds, with 28 years as a logistics NCO in the U.S. Army, complements Brian’s leadership with a sharp mind for planning, coordination, and execution under pressure. Before starting FIELD OPS®, Jeff worked as a Project Manager in multi-family and commercial retail construction. Jeff is married and has two children. He looks forward to growing FIELD OPS® throughout the greater Atlanta area.

Susan Wong is the owner and operator of FIELD OPS® of San Antonio. She is a Retired U.S. Air Force Veteran with 23 years of reserve and active duty time. Assignments and deployments included Afghanistan, USINDOPACOM, Defense Intelligence Agency and Space and Missile Systems Center.

Steven Bennett is the owner and operator of FIELD OPS® of Jacksonville. He is a 10 year disabled Veteran of the Army. Seved in Somalia, Bosnia and Haiti as well as numerous operations around the globe.

Colton Sanford

Colton Sanford is the owner of Field Ops, serving the Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg area. A former U.S. Army Ranger and Afghanistan veteran, Colton transitioned from military service to academia, earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and an MBA from the University of South Florida.
His diverse professional background includes experience in logistics, education, and tennis coaching. Across these roles, he has prioritized reliability, organization, and clear communication. Colton brings this disciplined approach to every Field Ops project, emphasizing consistent, high-quality work.
